Today I'll be addressing something that almost every trans person experiences, and something that everyone experiences differently. Gender Dysphoria. So, the first thing we'll tackle is the question "What is Dysphoria?" and then I'll go through a few of the different types of Dysphoria that I've personally experienced.
Every trans person I know of experiences some kind of dysphoria. That's what I talked about in my last blog post, Sunday: The Most Dysphoric Day of The Week, but today I'm going to bring up something that generally refers to trans guys or non-binary folk. Chest dysphoria, and binding.
Being in a religious family, on Sunday's we attend church for two hours. No one but my younger sister knows that I am trans, and so I'm expected to wear one of the many dresses or skirts that have been purchased for me. I don't plan on coming out to my parents anytime soon, so what do I do to battle that dysphoria?...
